Alvina Ralls formed Artistic Realities in 2007.  She had an interest in ceramic beadmaking and had previously taken classes at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.  Dichroic glass was added to her repertoire while vacationing in Orlando Florida.  Husband, Mike became involved while recuperating from a broken leg.  He now makes most of the ceramic beads.  His creations won First and Third Place at the 2009 Choctaw Indian labor Day competition.

Alvina creates unique, one of a kind jewelry pieces.  Each piece is manually crafted and fired in one of their kilns.  The process involves two firings for either ceramic or dichroic pieces.  Alvina often combines fired clay beads with dichroic glass.  The inspiration for her art emerges from her German and Native American heritage.  The combination of the desire to create fine art pieces of lasting quality with the earthy feel of nature makes Alvina Ralls an artist of noteworthy recognition.

In February 2008, Artistic Realities combined with local Choctaw Native American artist Jane Semple Umsted to open Indian Territory Art Gallery.  The gallery contains work from four local artist featuring ceramic jewelry, pottery, metal sculptures, and oil, acrylic and batik paintings.  With work stations inside the gallery, visitors can witness the final steps in the artistic process.
